Monthly Chapel at Southwest Christian Academy

Our Monthly Chapel is one of the most cherished times at Southwest Christian Academy. Held on the first Tuesday of each month, immediately following drop-off, chapel provides an opportunity for our entire community to come together and worship the Lord. This special event gives our older students a chance to lead, speak on stage, and share their faith. Parents, grandparents, and friends are always welcome to join us for this meaningful time of worship.

Enriching Field Trips

Our monthly field trips offer an exciting way to enhance learning, build friendships, and create lasting memories. Typically scheduled on Fridays, these trips are completely optional but offer wonderful opportunities for hands-on learning outside the classroom. From nature excursions to historical sites, these trips provide valuable experiences for our students.

 

Class Photos

Each year, we bring in a skilled professional photographer to capture beautiful school portraits of your child. These portraits will be featured in our yearbook, and you will also have the option to purchase digital image files to print and cherish at home. It's a wonderful way to preserve memories from each academic year.

Community-Building Events

At Southwest Christian Academy, we understand the importance of fostering a close-knit, supportive community. That's why we host a variety of community-building events such as class parties, dances, performances, and other special events. Class parties are a highlight of the year at Southwest Christian Academy, providing students with the opportunity to celebrate milestones, holidays, and special occasions together. These fun and festive events are a great way for our students to bond with their classmates, engage in creative activities, and build lasting friendships. Each class hosts parties throughout the year, with themes that align with the season or specific celebrations. Parents often have the chance to get involved by helping plan, decorate, or provide snacks and treats, making these events a true community effort. From holiday parties to end-of-year celebrations, class parties are a special part of the learning experience at Southwest Christian Academy, and they create lasting memories that our students will cherish for years to come.

Reading Buddies at Southwest Christian Academy

At Southwest Christian Academy, we believe in the power of community and the joy of learning together. Our Reading Buddies program pairs older students with younger ones to foster a love for reading, build confidence, and strengthen relationships across grade levels. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to share their reading journeys with one another. Younger students benefit from the guidance and encouragement of their older buddies, while older students develop leadership skills and a deeper understanding of reading. Through regular reading sessions, children not only improve their literacy skills but also create meaningful connections within our school community. At Southwest Christian Academy, we know that when students work together, they grow together!
